Closure or Ammo Review by Anna Sweet

ABOUT THE BOOK
Lana and Val are best friends who both have bad luck with men, until they finally meet someone. For Lana, it's her hot new boss, Leo. For single mother Val, she meets sexy detective, Travis, through an unfortunate situation. When Leo suddenly ends the affair, Lana plays a dangerous game of cat and mouse to find out why. Val must decide whether to stand by her friend or follow the law. Will Lana's actions tear them apart or can their relationship survive?

MY REVIEW
3 out of 5 stars
The beginning of the book grabbed my attention as the characters and their personalities were introduced, however, as the story progressed, I began to feel like their decisions and actions came out of nowhere and didn’t quite make sense. As the book goes on, they seem to be doing the opposite of developing and learning from their mistakes. I still find myself not entirely trusting Lana, or Val, and especially not their love interests, but I am interested to see if the next book changes my mind about them.

The love scenes were well written and succeeded in keeping me interested in the characters’ relationships in between the rest of the scenes that did little to advance the plot. There wasn’t quite enough excitement for my taste, and the story seems to just be documenting the everyday events and minor conflicts of Lana and Val’s lives, which can be a bit repetitive at times. However, the end of the story was unresolved enough that I would probably read the next book in the series to see if the characters develop any more or if their situations improve.
