ABOUT THE BOOK
A short story collection based on the world and characters from Orcs Unlimited’s upcoming RPG, WE HUNT BUGS. The idea is for the stories to be able to stand alone as entertaining reads, but to also be suitable for players to use for game scenarios and campaigns.

We Hunt Bugs takes place far into the future, when space travel is a normal, everyday occurrence and humanity has spread far across the known universe.

Inhabiting the galaxy are a varied race of violent aliens that resemble earthly insects. They infest ships during FTL (Faster Than Light) travel (which is when space ships cross vast distances in space in a short amount of time, moving faster than the speed of light), though the Bugs are unable to survive entry into a planet’s atmosphere, so they exist only in space. A huge part of the game is fighting these bugs, though it—and your story—does not have to be limited to only a fight between Bugs and humans.

MY REVIEW - Ally F
4 out of 5 stars
Bugs in the System takes us out of our own world and sucks us right into its. In this collection of gritty stories based on the role-playing game, We Hunt Bugs, multiple different authors create excellent stand-alone episodes. Alone, each story is populated by fleshed out characters, executes perfect tension, and tells a good tale. Together, they create a book that is a lesson in world building. While each story is similar, they also vary enough with characters and overall plot to make each one interesting enough to lure you to the ending.

No prior knowledge of We Hunt Bugs, the roleplaying game, is necessary to understand and submerse yourself in these quick stories. However, reading them might be enough to compel you to find out more about it. It’s a fascinating world with plenty of stories to tell.

I wasn't aware of a book like this before. I will greatly benefit from reading this. I'm an aspiring programmer, and I would need this for my work. I've encountered countless problems in my projects. Seeing that this is set in the future, in a fictional universe makes me more eager to read it. I'll check more reviews of this book first.
