By John Kaniecki
She was magically beautiful
A spell cast so well
A precious soul
Blue butterflies fluttered in her eyes
She was truth in a world of lies
Red roses graced her long brown hair
Her words worthy as a prayer
The sun rose for her alone
And when leaving in rosy sunset
Sol yearned in regret
Her name was never known
In days of yore
Twas a time defined as before
I heard caressing calls
By the whispering waterfalls
I was a seeker
Searching for naught
In endless ambition
I was caught
So in silence I slithered
Through the tall green grass
There in the company
Of a dozen beautiful nymphs
I gazed upon the lovely lass
Under the moon’s shimmering light
I saw the glory of endless delight
My heart surrendered
Without a fight
And I wondered
If I just might
Taste the tempting ecstasy
Of the loveliest lovely
Deep within I died in sin
And what I coveted
Fled
Into the forest deep
For years I could not sleep
I was a solider
In the army of lust
Called in duty
How I reminisce
How I miss
Days of beauty
