Disney+ is a subscription video on demand streaming service that offers endless entertainment for all ages. Subscribers have access to Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, & National Geographic. Additionally, subscribers have access to new releases and exclusive originals. For instance, Frozen II was originally going to be released on the digital platform on June 26, 2020; However, due to COVID-19, Disney+ released the film early! Disney+ is available for $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year. Plus, if you want to bundle Hulu, ESPN, and Disney+, then it would be $12.99 a month. Disney+ is available on numerous devices so viewers can access it on their desktops, laptops, TV’s, phones, and video game consoles. You can stream on four devices at once or download your favorites to watch at a later time. Disney+ features educational content as well. For example, Disney+ has a collection of nature documentary films, so viewers can learn about penguins, dolphins, elephants, African cats, and more!
My review:
My Disney+ journey began in March 2020 when I purchased a subscription because I am self-quarantining due to my asthma and compromised immune system. I was impressed by the amount of content Disney+ has packed onto their platform. I liked how there are TV shows and movies for all ages, so everyone in the family has something fun to watch. I am currently going through Disney classics and it’s such a different experience watching them as a young adult because you pick up on different scenes that you missed before. I had a small issue regarding payments and I immediately contacted the Disney+ customer support. I utilized their online chat option and found them to be extremely kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. I didn’t have to wait endless hours and my issue was resolved in a matter of minutes. I am grateful for their excellent customer service. I have experienced only two cons so far. First, if you submit a payment that expires in 2021, then it’s alarming when you open your account with an alert that if you don’t update your payment, then your account will be cancelled. Rest assured your account will only be cancelled if you don’t update your account seven days after the card has expired. Second, if you have the Xfinity or Comcast TV provider, then you cannot connect the app to your TV. If you want to bypass this, then you would need the Amazon Fire Stick, Xbox, or Play Station in order to watch Disney+ on your TV. I currently do not possess the previously listed items, but I still enjoy Disney+ on my laptop and iPad; although, it would be fun to watch Disney classics with my family. Overall, I would give Disney+ a 4/5 stars because it’s filled with extraordinary content and easy to access on various platforms. I would highly recommend Disney+ to friends and family.
